5 British TV Shows You Can Find on YouTube
A student of mine has just moved to London and has mentioned how difficult it is to understand the people at her job. Luckily she isn’t the only one. This is a common problem for people around the globe who want to understand British native speakers. I suggest to everyone to focus on watching British TV shows to get some practice. There is only one solution…
More, more, more
And I’m here to provide you with some British TV shows so you can practice more. Let’s get into the list.
1) Travel Man
Genre: Travel and Comedy
If you like travelling, this is a great British TV show for you to watch. Hosts Richard Ayoade and Joe Lycett (both comedians) take their friends (usually other comedians) to different cities around the globe. They will take you to rare visited locations within the city and sprinkle in some jokes along the way. A very fun way to practice English.

2) Come Dine with Me
Genre: Reality TV, Cooking show
Having friends round for dinner is a common cultural norm in the U.K. but what happens if it’s with 4 strangers? How about if each person has to rate each others meal? People change when they have to compete against each other and this creates great entertainment for whoever is watching. If you love food, you will love this show.

3) Time Team
Genre: Historical documentary
The history of the U.K. is very interesting to say the least. Lots of invasions, lots of kings and queens and a lot of artifacts. This show gives you a chance to dig into that history as the architects dig up different sites around the country in search for some small pieces of history. It’s one of my favourite British TV shows.
